Blue Heron Psychotherapy

Online Psychotherapy

Seeing a therapist is a positive step towards improving how you feel in life and addressing any personal changes you wish to make.

Perhaps you would like to explore issues around relationship, loss, past trauma or anxiety. The past often is hindering our expression in the present, and is the cause of some difficulties such as anxiety, depression and lack of self esteem. By working in a relational and psychodynamic way I will work to help you uncover and heal the root of your issues as well as aim to increase your contact with your deeper self and self expression, understand yourself more and find the skills and resources to deal with whatever life brings to you.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

I place your experience at the center of the work and use dreams, imagery, creativity and intuition to help you. I aim to empower you to do what is right for you, rather than advise or tell you what to do.

I find clients who come to me are often interested in the arts and find the visual and intuitive ways of working suit their own approach to life.

My masters dissertation explored how integrative therapists use their own imagery to deepen the therapeutic relationship and the various ways this can be used ethically and to the client’s benefit.

I work with a wide variety of presenting issues and I am GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity) affirmative.

Though I work primarily with a Jungian, analytic and psychodynamic approach, I have a background in working with the inner child and using inner dialogues to promote healing; I integrate elements of TA, Psychosynthesis and Gestalt and work with attachment based issues. Spiritual and transpersonal dimensions can also be explored in the work if desired.

These approaches provide powerful ways to help you access your inner world; your own wisdom and understanding of your experiences. From here you can make changes as you choose to.

“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible.”

C. G. Jung
